Part of the Package

This one sounds like a great deal: we buy a house and get one person for free! Jokes aside, this is the kind of text message nobody should get from their landlord. But while the text sounds horrible (the choice of words was very unfortunate), is it possible that this landlord is doing his tenant a favor?

We believe this landlord is saying that while he’s planning on selling one of his properties, he’s letting the tenant reside there until the deal’s done.
