Insecurity Deposits

This Twitter user investigated what landlords said to other landlords on Facebook and was shocked that most of them feel they’re automatically entitled to keep their tenants’ security deposits—even if they have to do their best to find something “broken” around the house.

Technically, security deposits are paid beforehand to prevent potential damage to the apartment and must be returned to the tenant if none occurs. Little did we know that some landlords would do everything possible to keep their deposits.
