Eviction Epidemic

The New Yorker called it an “eviction epidemic.” It started before the pandemic and continued up until now. Every year, millions of Americans are evicted from their own homes, and, as this text message shows, some are told to leave with less than one day’s notice!

While there are undoubtedly many tenants who deserve to be kicked out, we assume that many are mere victims of greedy landlords. Some don’t even care whether their tenants will end up homeless or not.
