Unseen Australia – The World’s Best, Scariest Country Is a Land Like No Other

Stunning Architecture

Australia isn’t just about beautiful natural landscapes. There’s plenty of fine architecture to see in large cities like Sydney and Melbourne, including the emblematic Sydney Opera House. Inaugurated in October 1973, it makes for Australia’s cultural Mecca: it hosts about 1,500 performances per year and is visited by over one million people annually.

Created by the renowned architect John Utzon, the design of the Sydney Opera House was inspired by Aztec and Mayan architecture. Utzon came up with the idea for the building’s characteristic roofs after peeling an orange. Today, the Sydney Opera House is considered one of the best architectural feats of the 20th century.
