The Boxing Kangaroo

The Australians love to display a symbol showing a boxing kangaroo at multiple sports events, from local cricket matches to the Olympic Games. The boxing kangaroo is a national icon, and it’s inspired by a scene from nature that looks almost too surreal to be true: kangaroos fighting!

If you’ve never seen these marsupials have a go at one another, we invite you to check it on YouTube. It’s sensationally human-like, and some of these fights put many bar brawls to shame. Interestingly enough, kangaroos have a much stronger kick than punch, even though they’re excellent at both.
