Barefooted Summer
Going shopping barefoot or even walking down the street with no shoes on sounds like the sort of thing most people would only do after losing a bet. But in Australia, it’s very common for people to walk around barefooted, and they even do so in the city and while grocery shopping.
Snubbing shoes in public places is particularly popular during the summer and among young Australians. However, the Aussie cricket team also loves it. They call it “earthing” and describe it as a way of capturing the positive energies emanating from the earth.
