Record-setting Temperatures

Temperatures in Australia can get hot, and the country is associated with several heat-related records, including the highest sunshine duration. Sometimes, the heat is so intense that your flip-flop shoes can melt during an afternoon stroll.

But that’s Australia for you: with all its charms and natural wonders, it’s a land of extremes in the end. Curiously, the highest registered temperature in the land down under was recorded in January 2022, when the town of Oslow experienced what it’s like to live under 123.3 Fahrenheit! According to Earth Sky, it’s the warmest it’s ever been in the Southern Hemisphere.
