You may want to avoid the Australian funnel-web spider on land, whose bites can be fatal (even though there’s a potent antivenom available). On the sea, swim away from the blue-ringed octopus, a mollusk with venom so lethal it can lead to suffocation due to paralysis of the diaphragm. Ouch!
