Paul Marcarelli – Verizon Wireless Guy

While he may now be known for his work with T-mobile, Paul Marcarelli made his name by starring in commercials for its rival Verizon from 2002 to 2011. He made the switch to Spirit in 2016, which later went on to merge with T-mobile. In his newer commercials, he often references leaving Verizon.

In Verizon, his most famous line was “Can you hear me now?” when he played the Test Man character. He had a characteristic appearance wearing a gray Verizon jacket and horn-rimmed glasses. His appearance as Test Man fascinated the audience, and Maracarelli appeared on  Entertainment Weekly’s list of one of the most intriguing people of 2002.
