Iconic Ads and Famous Stars – Why Was a Certain Louis Vuitton Advert So Special to Angelina Jolie?

Wendy Kaufman – Snapple Lady

Wendy Kaufman was already an employee at Snapple Headquarters when she was chosen by the ad agency Kirshenbaum and Bond to appear in the ads. She would spend her time at the office replying to fanmail, which inspired the commercials. It featured her as “Wendy, the Snapple Lady,” responding to customer emails and letters.

Her ads were a massive success, bringing in a lot of sales for the company. After the Quaker Oats Company acquired Snapple in 1994, she was cut loose, and sales plummeted. She was rehired by new owners Triarc Companies, but she left in 2008 after having a contract that was worth nothing, according to her.
