J.K. Simmons – Farmers Insurance Group

Farmers Insurance Group knew what they were doing when they tapped in legendary actor J.K. Simmons to appear in their commercials. Many people would recall him as the agitated, furious reported J. Jonah Jameson from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. However, he has reprised the role in other Marvel works, including MCU’s “SpiderMan” series starring Tom Holland.

In the commercials, he appeared as Professor Nathaniel Burke of the imaginary institute, the University of Farmers. He has done a series of commercials starting in 2010. The campaign was developed by David Smith. An interactive website was even launched to promote the campaign, with Simmons as the gruff Professor Burke teaching agent.
