Jake Wood – Geico Gecko

While Jake Wood is best known for his work on the soap opera “EastEnders,” those that have paid special attention to his voice might recognize it from elsewhere. He is none other than the famous GEICO Gecko, featured in commercials for the insurance company. The Martin Agency created the reptile with CGI by Framestore, led by animator David Hulin.

While first voiced by Kelsey Grammar and then Dave Kelly, Wood was eventually brought on board and became the most memorable voice. By 2017, the lizard had appeared in 145 commercials and even had an interview with Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former United States President Bill Clinton, in its accomplishments.
