Just like in the other photos, these women tried to bring home the bacon with their varying facial expressions. It didn’t matter if they looked ridiculous to some competitors, but all they thought about was how to impress the judges and get everyone’s attention.

More than this, they probably encouraged the audience to join them in cheering. Chants are typically shorter, simpler, and repeated over and over, making a point. In contrast, cheers are more complex and longer, often incorporating stunts and pyramids to excite the crowd. If these women’s energy transcends through our screens, we doubt they didn’t convince the masses.
