June Brown – Age 94

If there’s anyone who deserves a break, that’s June Brown. She still hasn’t announced her retirement, but she’s been away from the screen since 2020 when she decided to let go of her EastEnders character. The decision was surely tough: after all, Brown had been playing the iconic Dot Cotton since 1985!

When you portray the same character for over 2,350 episodes, the lines between reality and fiction can get a little blurred… Now 94, Brown finally has the time to enjoy her golden years without worrying about being Cotton. She’ll forever remain one of the most hardworking soap opera stars in history.
