Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – 71 – Author
Players like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar only appear once in a century, and the iconic Bucks and Lakers center has been dubbed by many as the greatest center of all time. Upon retiring in 1989, Jabbar had won six NBA Championships, while he’s also been a part of the All-Star Team 19 times. Kareem keeps making public appearances and speeches, so it seems that a sedentary lifestyle doesn’t suit him. He’s authored 15 books and an audiobook, and many of them talk about social or racial issues, as well as about his time in the world’s greatest basketball league. In 2016, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barrack Obama.
