Shirley Temple – Deceased – Diplomat
Shirley Temple’s acting career dates back in the ’30s when she became a huge child star for her performances on Bright Eyes, Curly Top, and Heidi. Though everyone believed that she’d go on to become a Hollywood legend, she made her final acting appearance in 1949, in the film, A Kiss For Corliss. Temple then made money by getting involved in politics. She was a member of the Republican Party, while she also served as a US Ambassador to Czechoslovakia and Ghana. Sadly, Temple passed away in 2014 due to lung disease. She had been a heavy smoker for years.
