Kurtis Blow – 59 – DJ & Minister

Kurtis Blow is a recognized name in the rapping scene. Blow takes credit for being the first-ever rapper who was able to get a contract with a major record label and become commercially successful. Blow’s first-ever gold record was the single titled The Breaks. 

Back in 1994, Blow became “born again” and as of 2009, he is officially an ordained minister. Blow was actually the one who put up The Hip Hop Church located in Harlem. But he is not only the minister and worship leader for the church for he is also their DJ and rapper.
