ANNETTE FUNICELLO – BEACH PARTY, 1963
Annette Funicello began her career as a 12-year-old actress for Disney and became a teen idol, featuring in the comedy-musical “Beach Party” in the ’60s. The series opened the way for other films, including the 1964 “Bikini Beach,” which became a success, and the production company granted her a seven-year contract.
Funicello’s breakthrough came when she co-starred with actor Frankie Avalon in the “Beach Party” film in 1963. The two had a romantic relationship, and they enjoyed the steamy scenes of the movie. “The Monkey’s Uncle” actress rocked this lovely two-piece sporty bikini accessorized with a simple necklace and well-styled locks, while Avalon wore swimming trunks.
