JANE RUSSELL – THE FRENCH LINE, 1953
Jane Russell was an actress, a singer, and a beauty of the ’40s and ’50s. Before venturing into her music career, she featured in around 20 films, including the 1953 “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.” However, she still worked on several films in the ’60s. One of the most well-known works was the 1954 musical movie “The French Line.”
The film had many steamy scenes, but what left people talking was the “Young Widow” actress’s outfit. It showed the penultimate moments of the star rocking a beautiful one-piece vintage bathing suit with some well-designed cutouts as she performed in the song “Lookin’ for Trouble” in the scene.
