Mike Pence and Karen Pence – Together Since 1985

Mike and Karen Pence’s love story began in 1983 when they met during a church service at St. Thomas Aquinas in Indianapolis. Their first date included ice skating at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, and after about nine months of dating, they became engaged in August 1984.

The couple has three children: Michael, Charlotte, and Audrey.​ Throughout their marriage, Karen has been a steadfast partner, supporting Mike’s political career from Congress to the governorship of Indiana and then as Vice President of the United States. Known for her advocacy of art therapy, she served as Second Lady from 2017 to 2021, promoting the healing power of the arts.
