Tammy and Bryan Bowlsbey – Together Since 1993

Imagine meeting someone while you’re both working hard to serve your country—well, that’s how Tammy and Bryan’s story began. They met through the ROTC program at George Washington University in 1990 and quickly clicked over their shared passion for public service.

By 1993, they were married, beginning a life filled with love, commitment, and public service. They’re the proud parents of two daughters, Abigail and Maile. Tammy, a trailblazing U.S. Senator from Illinois, made history in 2018 as the first senator to give birth while in office. Meanwhile, Bryan, a retired Army Major, has been by her side, supporting her every step of the way.
