We cannot talk about legendary British stars and possibly miss ‘The Tramp,’ can we? Charlie Chaplin revolutionized movies of the twentieth century with his wit and humorous portrayals of events surrounding him. His films like Modern Times, City Lights, and The Great Dictator, are studied even today by students of cinema.

While Chaplin’s seventy-five-year long career had its fair share of difficulties, no one can disagree with the fact that he was a great filmmaker and an even better actor. The only qualm he might have had is that he never won an Academy Award in either of these two categories!
