The year 2000 was a sad one for the entertainment world as we lost the venerable actor, Sir Alec Guinness.

But his astonishing acting career is still celebrated today and serves as an inspiration for those who came into the fold after him. To mention all the parts he played would take days, but you’ll most certainly remember him from his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars films. Alec won almost all the notable cinematic awards in his time, and he was a proud veteran who fought for his country. Saying that he was a prime example of a man and an entertainer would be an understatement.
