Alan Rickman
Most people recognize Alan Rickman as Professor Snape from the Harry Potter franchise, but his body of work happens to be more wide-ranging than that. For an actor struggling with a speech impediment during childhood, he did manage to achieve a tremendous amount in his lifetime.
Until his passing in 2016, Rickman was one of the few artists who could recite Shakespearean sonnets and comedic one-liners with an equally charismatic flair. All in all, he will go down in the history books as the most talented actor who never got nominated for an Academy Award – An oversight the Academy should remedy, even if only posthumously.
