Have you ever wondered how different the view will be if there were no billboards all around you? Well, it may not be of much importance to other states but it is very important in Hawaii. The state bans all types of billboards to preserve the scenic view that it is known for, which also attracts tourists.

However, this billboard you see in the historic center in Honolulu is specifically for tourists and it may be the only one that you’ll find. The rule of no billboards dates back over a century ago in 1920.
