How’s your blood pressure? It can’t be easy to go through so many anxiety-inducing pictures in a row, so we thought we would give you a treat now. Look at it: it’s a collection of shiny, pink marbles that’s fascinating to look at. There’s nothing wrong with them. Nothing terrifying at all.

Just kidding! These are eggs from an amphibian caecilian known as the Chikilidae. It’s a rare animal from Southeast Asia, and it looks like a skinless, blind snake. And in case you’re thinking, “well, these eggs are not so bad,” please keep in mind their pretty scary mommy is most likely nearby…
