Just Like the Movies
Every kid who’s ever watched “Indiana Jones” knows how fun and dangerous rope bridges are. In the movies, these flimsy constructions break into pieces ten out of ten times, and yet our heroes always manage to get to the other side. But how does it work in real life?
Rope bridges aren’t dangerous per se. Some rope bridges out there are made of sturdy materials and able to support lots of weight. However, old rope bridges made of wood or corroded wires can crack under pressure, just like in the movies!
