Anita Dobson – Angie Watts from EastEnders
The English actress Anita Dobson decided to quit EastEnders in 1988, just three years after first joining the soap. She portrayed the cheeky Angie Watts, a beloved character known for her perm and joyful banter. After leaving EastEnders in the late ’80s, Dobson worked in Smokescreen, Casualty, Gigglebiz, and The Rebel (amongst others).
Music is also a big part of Dobson’s life. Not only because she’s married to the legendary Queen guitarist Brian May, but also because she once topped the charts with the EastEnders-inspired song “Anyone Can Fall in Love.” Additionally, Dobson’s been busy working on the upcoming musical film Tomorrow Morning.
