Peter Dean – Peter Beale from EastEnders

Not long after appearing on Law & Order (the 1978 BBC show, not the American cop drama), the English actor Peter Dean landed the best-known role of his career: Peter Beale, from EastEnders. Before, he played two short-lived characters in Coronation Street, Fangio and Jeff Bateman, who made it to only three episodes.

Peter Beale was on EastEnders between 1985 and 1995, the year he died in a tragic car accident. After EastEnders, Dean appeared in many TV movies and series, including Bo’ Selecta! and Diamond Ice’d. He hasn’t been on camera since 2016, but he’s currently working in the to-be-released drama Freedom Dance.
