Kate McGregor – Emily Kirk from Emmerdale

If you don’t know much about the British actress Kate McGregor, you’re not alone. She portrayed the shy and naive Emily Kirk from Emmerdale between 1999 and 2008 and has virtually disappeared since. An extremely private person, McGregor is said to be married to a teacher and has more than one child, but little else is known about her family.

While not all retired soap opera actors get to say the same, McGregor has reportedly chosen to leave Emmerdale on her own terms. She believed her character’s arc was over and felt the need to spend more time with her family.
