Shona McGarty – Whitney Dean from EastEnders

Besides having the biggest blue eyes in the soap opera world, the English actress Shona McGarty has been great in the role of Whitney Dean. A woman deeply troubled by her dysfunctional family, Dean has been at the center of many demanding plots that tackle topics as complex as abuse, miscarriage, and failed relationships.

McGarty joined the soap in 2008 and hasn’t left since. One of EastEnders’ prime stars, she has also appeared in the TV series Children in Need and Lauren’s Diary. A former Strictly Come Dancing celeb guest, McGarty has recently appeared in a 2021 episode of the Morning Live talk show.
