Exceptional Transportation Arrangements for the Coronation Ceremony

On the day of King Charles’ coronation, he and the Queen Consort will travel elegantly in two ornate carriages. The Diamond Jubilee State Coach, commissioned in 2012 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 60-year reign, will transport the royal couple to Westminster Abbey.

For the return journey to Buckingham Palace, they will use the Gold State Coach, which dates back to 1762 and has been used in every coronation since 1831.
