In public opinion, Charles has struggled to achieve the same adoration as his mother, Queen Elizabeth. Despite his concerted efforts to endear himself to the masses, something about him doesn’t resonate with the British public.

Even as he has made great strides in his efforts to reclaim their affection, he seems unable to capture their hearts fully. As the Independent observed in 2022, Charles may have made progress, but he still has a long way to go.
