We tend to assume Russians are harsh, cold, callous people. But the Motherland is a loving country, regardless of what Hollywood movies want us to believe. This picture of a woman dancing with a brown bear goes to show that the world’s largest country is as wild as it is romantic.

Russia is home to two-thirds of the world’s brown bear population. And while we don’t encourage dancing with bears, they have been a part of the country’s culture for centuries, symbolizing strength, courage, and freedom.
