Dan Quayle – Age 74

For people in the know, politician Dan Quayle may be remembered for his infamous vice presidential debate with Lloyd Bentsen in 1988. The running mate of George H.W. Bush likened himself to John F. Kennedy when asked if he was qualified to occupy the second highest seat in government, which backfired and resulted in an undying joke.

Nonetheless, Quayle completed his term in 1993 and had written several books in the years that followed. You may have also seen him in the news in early 2021 after attending Joe Biden’s inauguration. Together with Bill Clinton, he will be a guest at the Leon Panetta Lecture Series.
