Elinor Donahue – Age 83

Elinore Donahue gained fame for playing Betty Anderson, the eldest daughter in the 1950s sitcom Father Knows Best. She was signed to ABC, and as such, also had several guest roles in a few of the network’s other sitcoms, including the anthology series Crossroads and The Ray Bolger Show.

She had guest roles on shows like The Odd Couple and Dennis The Menace in the ‘60s and ‘70s. She eventually landed a big three-season deal with the Andy Griffiths show as Ellie Walker. But she worked just 12 episodes before asking to have her contract cut short. Donahue retired in 2011 to spend time with Lou Genevrino, her husband.
