Yet, in Jason Momoa’s case, a fabricated story might have helped him land a role that jumpstarted his acting career. The actor was not bringing any resume when he walked into the casting call for Baywatch: Hawaii, so he truthfully said ‘no’ when asked whether he had experience acting.

Yet, when they questioned whether he had modeled in the past, he lied that he’d posed for big fashion brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. The harmless pretense eventually gave the world the inch-perfect Khal Drogo and Aquaman.
