Tony Hawk is No Match

People continuously invent new ways to make old and boring things seem fresh and new. While this may not be the actual statue of skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, we wouldn’t mind seeing some people from the past pull some moves on a skateboard too. The whole scene is set as if there’s even a ramp underneath.

Skateboarding originated in the ’50s and became quite popular in the early ’60s. It was reportedly created by surfers when they were on land. That was a long while after the time of the man in the coat we see. The sport declined by 1965 but debuted at the Olympics in 2021.
