Thomas The Trainwreck

Sometimes things don’t go according to plan, and Thomas here is an example of that. We bet the creators of this wooden version of Thomas didn’t know it’ll turn out like this at the start. If this was meant to make children happy, someone seriously did a lousy job—or an excellent job at terrifying them instead.

Just take a look at this depressing bit of plaything. It looks like Thomas here suffered from some serious maltreatment; add to that: the black stuff running off its eyes, and we have an awful-looking Thomas on our hands. Even the story’s creator, Wilbert Awdry, would be dissatisfied with this creation.
