Alyson Hannigan’s Fall From Grace

Initially popularized by her “American Pie” appearances, Alyson Hannigan is best known for her portrayal of ‘Lily Aldrin’ in the sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.” She made it to over 200 episodes of the show, but she’s hardly made an impression since the series 2014 finale. But why?

Sadly, Hannigan didn’t choose her roles too wisely after leaving “How I Met Your Mother,” making it mostly to TV movies and under-the-radar indie flicks. As of 2022, she works as a voice actress in the animated series “Fancy Nancy,” which is miles away from her “American Pie” heyday.
