The American actor Wesley Snipes has returned to the spotlight and is one of the stars featured in the 2022 comedy “Back on the Strip,” also starring Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish. But the most observant movie buffs may have noticed that this former ’90s icon spent over three years without working in a major production. Why?

Sadly, Snipes got a little bit too creative with his taxes and ended up being sentenced to three years in prison for willful failure to file his federal income tax returns. The “Blade” superstar reported to prison in 2010 and wasn’t released up until the summer of 2013.
