Rick Moranis’ Praisable Hollywood Disappearance

In 2022, the Canadian-born actor Rick Moranis mourned the passing of one of his “Ghostbusters” collaborators, director Ivan Reitman. But decades before, in 1991, the “Parenthood” star was forced to deal with an even more painful tragedy when his wife Ann Belsky passed away at the age of 35.

Left alone with two children, Moranis decided to do the right thing. Even though he was at the height of his Hollywood career and getting plenty of film requests, he decided to snub them all to be there for his family. He later returned to show business but worked mostly as a voice actor.
