Tobey Maguire seems to be on comeback form, as he reprised his classic ‘Spider-Man’ role in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and is one of the stars of the 2022 TV series “Extrapolations.” But this once-promising A-lister spent years in the shadows following his third “Spider-Man” movie. Why?

Well, it seems like Maguire got carried away while working in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was asking too much money from the studio. Additionally, he struggled with severe back pain and was reportedly addicted to gambling, especially poker. According to New York Post, Maguire was one of the real-life high-stakes underground poker players portrayed in the 2017 movie “Molly’s Game!”
