The unforgettable American actress Phoebe Cates appeared in a series of classic ’80s flicks when she was but a teenager. She rose to stardom thanks to “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” “Private School,” or “Gremlins.” But not long after her “Drop Dead Fred” role in the early ’90s, she kissed goodbye to a promising acting career to focus on raising a family.

Cates’ decision worked wonders, and she’s been happily married to fellow actor Kevin Kline since 1989! She made but two short returns to acting, appearing in 2001’s “The Anniversary Party” and the “Lego Dimensions” videogame. As of 2022, she reportedly works as a Manhattan clothing boutique owner.
