Welcome To Hakuna Matata
If you’re a fan of the 1994 Disney classic, “The Lion King,” you’ve no doubt heard the phrase “Hakuna Matata.” It’s a Swahili phrase that means “no worries.” It was popularized by the eponymous song, written by Elton John and lyricized by Tim Rice.
Fans worldwide fell in love with this song as much as they loved the movie, so much so that it’s impossible to see one part of the phrase without thinking of the other. Instead of just thinking about it, someone decided to spray paint ‘Hakuna’ on this sign, giving the north island town in New Zealand, Matata, another meaning.
