Helen Worth – Gail Platt from Coronation Street

The best thing about soaps is that we get to see some actors grow up right before our eyes. That’s exactly what happened with the beautiful Helen Worth, who’s been portraying Coronation Street’s Gail Platt since 1974! Platt is the fourth longest-running character in the show, only behind the legendary Ken Barlow, Emily Bishop, and Rita Sullivan.

In 2021, Worth appeared in her 3,700th episode of Coronation Street. Earlier this year, she also made it to an episode of This Morning and the TV special Johnny Briggs: Coronation Street Legend. A Born Free Foundation patron, Worth is an animal rights activist.
