Are You Sure This Isn’t a New Dress?
When we first saw the photo of this dress, we couldn’t believe it. No way was this worn in the ’70s. It looks brand new, and we bet we’d get a fantastic deal if we were to see this on a thrift shop at present time.
Because it was made more than two decades before, we can confidently label this clothing as vintage. Many people get the two terms mixed up, but the main distinction between vintage and retro is the time. A vintage item is at least 20 years old, whereas a retro piece is manufactured recently but is fashioned to look like it was made decades before.
