A Bird Strike

The poor seagull was flying back home, unknown of what was lying ahead. This family here was enjoying their time on the roller coaster ride. While on their last descent, they got a feathery surprise when they accidentally collided with the bird. The camera captured the perfect shot of the crash.

This accident can be defined as a bird strike. It’s a collision between a flying creature and a moving vehicle, an airplane for example. Bird strikes can be lethal when it comes to flight safety. In the United States, more than 13,000 such cases have been reported to date.
