Elizabeth II – Age 94

Elizabeth II, Queen Elizabeth, or just The Queen as many call her, is the Queen of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms, of which there are 15. Her rule began in 1952, on February 2nd, while she was coronated in 1953, on June 2nd. This makes her the longest-reigning and also the longest-lived British monarch in history.

Elizabeth II is also the longest-serving or longest-reigning female head of state in the history of the world. The list goes on, while she rules through constitutional monarchy, which exercises authority through a constitution, both written and unwritten. She celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 2012 (sixty years of rule) and is approaching Sapphire, due in 2022.
