Having a baby is a significant event in a person’s life, and sharing the news with friends and family can be exciting. After posting pictures of their newborn, new parents receive congratulatory messages from loved ones and social media connections. This can be a validating and comforting experience.

Parents may use social media to document their child’s milestones, such as their first walk or word, so their loved ones can follow along. However, they can sometimes go overboard too. This photo is a prime example of some heavy editing that shows the baby hanging or swinging loosely in a cloth, a significant deviation from the original posture.
